John R. Janicek Named NACVA 2023–2024 CVA Coach of the Year

The National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts® (NACVA®) has named John R. Janicek, CPA, CVA, ABV, CFF, FCPA, CRFAC, MAFF, the recipient of the 2023–2024 CVA Coach of the Year Award, recognizing his exceptional contributions and unwavering support to candidates pursuing the prestigious Certified Valuation Analyst® (CVA®) credential.

This national recognition is awarded to select professionals who have demonstrated outstanding dedication, expertise, and mentorship in guiding candidates through the rigorous CVA Case Study process—one of the most demanding components of NACVA’s credentialing requirements. As a CVA Coach, Mr. Janicek played a critical role in ensuring candidates were not only technically prepared, but also personally supported throughout the 60-day Case Study timeline.

CVA Coaches are hand-selected from among the most seasoned valuation experts, and they represent the best of the best in the business valuation profession. They provide weekly guidance, offer real-time feedback, review candidate submissions, and help navigate the many analytical and reporting hurdles that arise throughout the valuation process.

Mr. Janicek’s selection as Coach of the Year reflects his exceptional ability to inspire, lead, and elevate those entering the field of business valuation. With decades of experience and multiple credentials across accounting, financial forensics, and valuation disciplines, he exemplifies the standard of excellence and professionalism that NACVA seeks to instill in its credentialing program.

In addition to his role as a CVA Coach, Mr. Janicek serves as the Managing Member of Janicek Valuation and Forensic Services, PLLC, located in Hendersonville, Tennessee. He is a highly regarded forensic accountant, business valuation authority, and litigation consultant. His ongoing contributions to the profession include providing expert testimony, sharing thought leadership, and mentoring the next generation of valuation professionals.
